ILOILO City – A Philippine Army truck turned turtle after getting hit by a wayward car in Barangay San Juan, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo yesterday.
Staff Sergeant Rio Dawn Mitchelle Candelario, investigator of the municipal police station, said seven persons – including three soldiers and four civilians – onboard the Army truck sustained injuries on the body. Meanwhile, three minors onboard the car were also wounded. They were all brought to a hospital for medical treatment.
According to Candelario, the road mishap happened around 2:40 p.m. The car driven by Rene Sampani reportedly hit the truck that came from the typhoon-ravaged town of Batad. It was not immediately clear what circumstances led to the crash./PN
