ILOILO City – More than 150 bottles of beer fell off a delivery truck and shattered on Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue (Diversion Road) in Barangay Taft North, Mandurriao district at around 1:20 p.m. yesterday.
Truck driver Warlito Baydid, 43, of Negros Occidental said he was surprised when the bottles came crashing down while he was making a U-turn. He said he was made to believe the bottle cases were well secured with ropes.
A taxi driven by Edgardo Broñosa, 47, of Barangay Hibao-an, Mandurriao was negotiating the highway next to the truck at the time.
No one was injured but the glass window on the left rear of the taxi was damaged./PN
