Singer Gary Valenciano shared that a recent surgery revealed he had cancer.
The 53-year-old music icon underwent heart surgery in May, during which doctors discovered that he had kidney cancer, he told “Rated K’s” Korina Sanchez in a report that aired on “Bandila” Friday.
“Meron pang ibang nangyari. Meron pa silang ibang nadiskubre,” Valenciano said when asked about of his condition.
He is now cancer-free after getting treatment.
In a tweet, he assured fans that he is “now okay” and told them not to worry.
The report is a preview of Sanchez’s “Rated K” program, with the full interview scheduled to be aired Sunday.
The singer first worried fans when he revealed that he had to undergo emergency open heart surgery after his anterior descending artery was found to be blocked due to diabetes.
In the days following the successful operation in May, Valenciano was optimistic in his message to his fans, promising them that “one day soon I will give my all on that stage again.” (ABS-CBN News)
