Iloilo Business Park welcomes Miss Iloilo Dinagyang for the very first time

It will be a dazzling night of elegance and glamour as Megaworld Iloilo Business Park hosts the much-awaited Miss Iloilo Dinagyang 2019 for the very first time this year.

The Grand Coronation Night of the pageant will be held in an open-theater setting at Casa de Emperador along Megaworld Boulevard on January 25, Friday, 6PM.

All 15 lovely candidates representing the different districts and municipalities from around the province and city of Iloilo are set to showcase their world-class talent and beauty to vie for the crown in this year’s pageant. There will be five titles at stake namely the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Carnival Queen, Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Tourism, Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Industry, and Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Heritage and Environment.

“As one of the main highlights of the festival, this year’s Miss Dinagyang serves as a platform for young Ilonggo women to create an impact in promoting Iloilo to the world, as well as in being role model to showcase the values and heritage of the Dinagyang Festival,” says Jen Palmares-Fong, vice-president for sales and marketing, Iloilo Business Park.

Soon after the coronation night, the crowned winners are set to join the street EDM party to be held along Megaworld Avenue. The next day, they will be among the guests featured in a series of parades, such as Kasadyahan, Dinagyang and the grand Festival of Lights.

The winners will also be introduced at the exclusive Mayor’s dinner, which will take place at the Iloilo Business Park Sales and Information Center on the 26th.

“This year’s Miss Dinagyang is a vision of bringing back the grandeur of Iloilo’s rich heritage and we look forward to fulfilling this in the pageant, says PJ Aranador, chairman, Miss Dinagyang 2019.

In December, the candidates of Miss Dinagyang took the stage for the swimwear competition at Richmonde Hotel Iloilo. The charming Ilonggo queens walked the runway in swimwears inspired by the Dinagyang Festival.

An illustration of religious devotion, wealthy heritage, as well as the artistry and ingenuity of the Ilonggos, the Dinagyang Festival is that time of the year when the streets of Iloilo come alive in honor of Señor Sto. Niño. Today, it has grown to become one of the Philippines’ most spectacular religious and cultural festivals.

“We are very proud to host all the major events of this year’s Dinagyang Festival here at Iloilo Business Park. Truly, this is a place where Filipinos from all over the country come together to take part in a celebration of colors, history, and culture,” ends Palmares-Fong.
