KIRAY Celis revealed that her scheduled show in Mintal, Davao was cancelled due to a producer who she said scammed her.
“Nakarating po ako. Di po sila tumupad sa usapan. Sobrang bastos nila,” wrote the young actress in an Instagram caption with regards to her disappointing experience.
According to Kiray, the said producer, whom she identified as a certain Ronald A. Brigoli, refused to pay her nor the facilitators of the show as promised.
“Napag-alaman namin na ang producer na kumuha samin na si Ronald A. Brigoli ay hindi lang po ako ang hindi binayaran. Magmula hotel, host at sound system at mga kapwa ko performers at mga artists. Kahit mga bumili ng ticket hindi binalik. Wow! Si Lord na bahala sayo,” said the former Goin’ Bulilit star in a new post on Monday.
Despite the unfortunate series of events, however, Kiray still decided to stay and make it up to her Davaoeño fans by joining a parade.
“Maraming salamat, Mintal, Davao. Pasensya na sa nangyari. Hindi man ako nakapag-perform para sa inyo, pero bumawi ako at nagparade para sa inyo,” shared the actress, citing that the incident has served as a huge lesson for her and her supportive mother, Meriam Celis, in choosing projects.
In the end, Kiray is grateful that she has survived the misfortune with the help of her family and friends. “Thank you sa lahat ng tumulong lalo na sa friends at naging pamilya namin dito sa Davao. At sa mga kaibigan kong tumawag, nagtext at nag-alala. Maraming salamat po at nalampasan ko itong problema na ito.” (Push)
