MISS Philippines Earth 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens of Baguio City shared that her advocacy is help the public adapt to urban gardening.
As Filipinos have grown a new appreciation and love for gardening amid the community quarantine, Roxanne hopes further spread awareness about the positive impact of urban gardening on the economy, environment, and food security, especially today when the country is still struggling due to the COVID-19 crisis.
“My advocacy is urban gardening and [it] is very relevant towards this pandemic because we are now facing a shortage of food supply,” the beauty queen said.
Roxanne was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2020 on July 5 and she will take over the duties of Miss Philippines Earth 2019 Janelle Tee.
She is set to represent the Philippines in the prestigious Miss Earth 2020 pageant.(GMA)
