Moira dela Torre admits to struggling with body image

WITH HER big day just around the corner, Moira dela Torre revealed that the pressure to look her best is already upon her, and such is not without an effect on the way she views her own body.

“Most days, I like myself. But some days I don’t,” shared the “Tagpuan” singer on her current struggle with body image recently.

“I have recently been stressing over my weight with the wedding coming in only 40+ days. I feel guilty I couldn’t seem to stick to a diet. Work’s been nonstop and Jason [Marvin] and I are still adjusting to this new life we’ve been given, and it’s been hard to eat and sleep right. I feel almost sad at the thought [of] my body not at its healthiest for my almost husband.”

Fortunately, Moira has her supportive soon-to-be-husband, singer Jason Marvin, to always remind her to take it easy with herself.

“In all days, this one stares at me the same way he did so many pounds ago. Smelling the lies trying to come in and countering them. Reminding me over and over that it’s okay! That my worth and beauty will never be defined by my weight and that we’ll get to our goal eventually. Always full of love, always full of hope. Thank you [Jason] for reminding me that I’m happy and blessed and beautiful, especially on days when I forget my worth. You’re amazing. I can’t wait to marry you,” wrote the Himig Handog 2017 champion.

But it wasn’t only Jason who has Moira’s back in this journey. Celebrities Iza Calzado, a body positive activist who is also set to marry this month, and Kris Aquino, who admitted to having weight issues as well, gave their moral support to the young singer. (Push)
