BACOLOD City – The Permits and Licensing Division reminded business owners that the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) at city hall will only run until tomorrow.
This means that after Thursday, businesspeople can no longer avail themselves of the 10-percent registration discount, said Permits and Licensing Division head Stela Rose Rayos.
BOSS started operating Jan. 3 to make “easier and faster” the business permit and tax payment process for Bacolodnons by having all concerned local government departments and agencies in one place – the Bacolod City Government Center.
It was originally slated to end Jan. 30 but the Sangguniang Panlungsod extended its operation until Feb. 28.
Rayos said a 25-percent surcharge will be imposed beginning March for business permit transactions in the city.
“We encourage business establishment owners who have yet to process their permits to apply now for easier processing,” said Rayos.
She added that this year’s business registrations will be higher than last year’s, noting the increase in the January-to-February BOSS registrations from 18,000 to 19,069./PN
