WVSU med grads all hurdle licensure exam for doctors

ILOILO City – All of West Visayas State University (WVSU) – College of Medicine’s 93 graduates who took the licensure examination for physicians early this month passed, results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) showed.

The feat made WVSU one of the top-performing schools in the examination.

WVSU president Dr. Luis M. Sorolla Jr. welcomed the results and commended the College of Medicine’s faculty and the graduates for their hard work.

“We are proud of the performance of the College of Medicine. We looked forward to more 100-percent passing rates in the future,” said Sorolla.

One of the key factors for this good performance, he said, is the WVSU Medical Center where students of the College of Medicine hone their knowledge.

Sorolla also said WVSU invests in the further studies of its faculty, even sending them abroad for training.

The PRC released the results of the licensure examination for physicians on Sept. 19; 4,006 examinees out of 4,716 passed.

The exam was administered in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

From Sept. 23 to Oct. 4, registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line, according to PRC.

The successful examinees must visit https://online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
