ILOILO – Two groups of men figured in a brawl during a disco in Barangay Madong, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The incident killed Rolando Approvechar, 38, and injured Johnfrel Lastimoso, 18, Romero Roche, 22, and Ricky Tabagay, of legal age. All were residents of Janiuay town.
Police Captain Alwin Salmon, officer-in-charge of the Janiuay Municipal Police Station (MPS), said in a radio interview that the cause was some old grudges.
According to Salmon, some still managed to sneak bladed weapons past the frisking at the disco’s entrance on Tuesday, May 16.
Members of the two groups were all inebriated, he added.
Approvechar died due to the wound to his neck, while the three other victims are now in stable condition.
