ANTIQUE – A driver of a top-down tricycle died while three passengers were injured in a road accident along the national highway in Barangay Buhang, Hamtic, on Tuesday night, Oct. 17.
Mark Anthony Miedes had no driver’s license, according to Major John Paul Guay, chief of the Hamtic Municipal Police Station.
Sustaining minor injuries were Dean Carrey Mallo, 28; “Mark Dave,” 11; and “Mark Anthony,” 10. All residents of Barangay Masayo, Tobias Fornier, Antique.
Guay said the top-down tricycle was from Sibalom going to Tobias Fornier when it accidentally sideswiped a tricycle parked on the roadside. The hit caused the top-down to flip over.
The victims were rushed to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital, but the driver was declared dead./PN
