BACOLOD City – A man was killed, while three others were injured in a shooting incident on Monday in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Arvin Sagmon, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Sipalay, sustained two gunshot wounds on his head and neck.
Injured were Josephine Magsipok, 41, of Barangay Zonbe 15, Talisay City, who sustained gunshot wounds on her left arm and left portion of her body; Jose Chua, 60, of Country Homes, Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City, who sustained one gunshot wound on the left side of his face; and a 15-year-old female who sustained a gunshot wound on her left buttocks.
Police identified the suspect as Nelson Arilla, 30, a resident of Barangay Poblacion 1, Isabela town.
Investigation revealed that the suspect had a drinking session at a bar in the area when he had a heated confrontation with a certain Gizzel, a waitress. The suspect went home and returned to the bar with an unknown caliber of firearm a few minutes later. Arilla then suddenly fired at the costumers several times.
Senior Inspector Larry Teovisio said the suspect is now detained. Criminal charges on murder and three counts of frustrated murder will be filed against him./PN
