BACOLOD City – A man was hacked dead in Barangay Pandan, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 38-year-old resident Teofilo Florentino Semillano.
Tagged suspect was his 41-year-old cousin, Jhonito Semillano.
The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. on May 16.
According to the police, the cousins had been drinking prior to the incident.
The victim was rushed to the Don Salvador Benedicto District Hospital but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Recovered from the crime scene was an 18-inch bolo allegedly used in the crime.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Pontevedra police station./PN
