BACOLOD City – He was not as lucky as two others who were also involved in a gun grappling incident in Barangay Guimbalaon, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The 31-year-old resident Reynaldo Villaruel ended up dead, a police report showed.
According to initial investigation, Villaruel pointed a gun at the 44-year-old Rommel Aurelio around 11 p.m. on Thursday but the latter defended himself by trying to take the weapon away.
Villaruel was able to shoot Aurelio on the right leg. That was when Aurelio’s brother Jear arrived.
But Jear was also shot on the left arm.
Aurelio had the chance to take the gun from Villaruel and hit the former on the body.
The Aurelios were now confined at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City recuperating.
It was not immediately clear what triggered the incident./PN
