SAN JOSE, Antique – A farmer was killed while two others were wounded in a road crash in Barangay Piapi 3, Hamtic, Antique.
The 59-year-old resident Marcelino Copias died of head injuries, police said.
Wounded were 52-year-old Nelly Copias and 65-year-old Jose Sercidillo, the police added.
According to police investigators, Marcelino, Nelly and Sercidillo were walking when a tricycle driven by 27-year-old Reynan Yusores of Barangay Solong, Sibalom, Antique crashed against them around 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 30.
Marcelino, Nelly and Sercidillo were rushed to the Angel Salazar Memorial Hospital here where Marcelino died after an hour of receiving medical treatment.
Yusores, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges./PN
