BACOLOD City – A municipality and six cities in Negros Occidental passed the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
These are Hinoba-an and the cities of Bago, Himamaylan, Sagay, San Carlos, Silay, and Talisay.
The SGLG is a progressive assessment system adopted by DILG to give distinction to remarkable local government performance across several areas.
To win the award, local government units must pass the core areas of financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection and tourism, health compliance and responsiveness, programs for sustainable education, business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace and order; environmental management, tourism, heritage development, culture and arts; and youth development./PN
