ILOILO City – Ten uniformed personnel of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) were commended for exemplary performance.
On April 4, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan) was awarded to Police Colonel Algen Taba and Police Chief Master Sergeant Lema Salasani of the Regional Engineering Unit for the successful titling of a donated lot intended for the Lezo municipal police station in Aklan province.
The PNP Commendation Medal (Medalya ng Papuri) was presented to Police Captain Narciso Sables Jr. and Police Staff Sergeant Michael Guancing of the Antique Police Provincial Office; and Police Lieutenant Jersey Besas and Police Corporal Erec Boriba of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office for the successful arrest of wanted persons.
On the other hand, the PNP Merit Medal (Medalya ng Kagalingan) was bestowed to Police Captain Marvin Buenavista and Police Master Sergeant Ronnie Digcabo-on for the successful conduct of a buy-bust operation that resulted in the recovery of 95.2 grams of dried marijuana in Barangay Bolho, Miag-ao, Iloilo on June 12, 2021; and Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonel Guadalupe and Police Staff Sergeant Jolly Acosta for the successful buy-bust operation (recovery of 49.421 grams of suspected shabu) on Iglesia Street, Barangay 2 Poblacion, La Carlota, Negros Occidental.
The activity was highlighted by the presence of Engineer Tiburcio DL Canlas, regional director, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) as the guest of honor and speaker.
“We will continue to support PNP programs and provide essential infrastructure that can help boost your effectiveness and productivity,” Canlas said.
