BACOLOD City – Ten suspected illegal cock fighters were arrested in two separate operations in Escalante City and La Castellana town in Negros Occidental on June 20.
In Escalante City, police caught seven men in Sitio Tulo-ato, Barangay Pinapugasan around 12:30 p.m. They were residents Lloyd Aguilar, 49; Federico Gellamac, 66; Ronald Andaya, 37; Fernando Destura, 57; Rogelio Baclayon, 34; Redman Coniendo, 28; and Roberto Rayo, 51.
Police recovered four game fowls (two dead and two live) and P150 bet money.
In La Castellana, three were arrested around 3 p.m. in Purok Orchid, Barangay Robles – Victoriano Esmedia, 81; Jeff Shawn Tatoy, 25; and Josefino Esmedia, 50.
Recovered were three game fowls (two dead and one live), four gaffs and P3,320 bet money.
The suspects were detained at their respective police stations, facing charges./PN
