10 new COVID-19 cases in Pandan

PANDAN, Antique – On June 20, this municipality recorded 10 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.

All these cases were symptomatic, said Mayor Plaridel Sanchez VI.

The patients were the following:

* 43-year-old female of Barangay Dionela – home quarantine

* 78-year-old female of Barangay Bagumbayan – confined at the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital (ASMGH) in San Jose town

* 24-year-old female of Barangay Nauring – confined at ASMG

* 64-year-old male of Barangay Tingib – confined at ASMGH  

* 82-year-old male of Barangay Bagumbayan – ASMGH

* 29-year-old female of Barangay Zaldivar – home quarantine

* 24-year-old male of Barangay Centro Sur – at the Municipal Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF)

* 50-year-old female of Barangay Mag-aba – home quarantine

* 32-year-old female of Barangay Sta. Fe – home quarantine

* 29-year-old female of Barangay Sta. Fe – home quarantine

These patients were swabbed on June 18 and 19.

Their test results were released by the ASMGH Molecular Laboratory on June 20.

Sanchez appealed to those who have been exposed to these 10 cases to contact the Municipal Health Office for assistance, and observe self-isolation.

“We highly encourage the cooperation of the public. Avoid unnecessary gatherings. Follow public health and safety protocols,” Sanchez added.
