ILOILO City – At least 1,063 police personnel in Western Visayas were promoted.

The donning of ranks was held at the parade ground of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in this city yesterday, March 25.

Record from the Regional Personnel Records and Management Division (RPRMD) showed that of 1,063 promoted personnel, 172 are Police Commissioned Officers, which includes six Lieutenant Colonels, 12 Police Majors, 55 Police Captains, and 99 Police Lieutenants.

Meanwhile, 891 are Police Non-commissioned Officers.

According to RPRMD chief Colonel Winston De Belen, these newly promoted police personnel are from regional headquarters and provincial and city offices, except for the Bacolod City Police Office and the Negros Occidental Police Office.

On the other hand, PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky, who spearheaded the donning, congratulated the newly promoted police personnel.

He said that he expects these police personnel to be responsible and continue to work hard for the country.
