BACOLOD City – For alleged illegal gambling, 11 persons were apprehended in Barangay Alim, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
They were Anthony Amparado, Gary Labrador, Charris Saluta, Denny Nuñez, Liezel Tembrevilla, Melba Loquiño, and Ranilin Amparado.
The others were Sherly Ugdiman, Gloryshel Labrador, Hermenia Amparado, and Fernando Lirazan.
According to the police, the suspects were playing mahjong, tong-its and pusoy around 5 p.m. on July 18.
Confiscated from them were P800 bet money and gambling paraphernalia.
The suspects were detained at the Hinoba-an municipal police station./PN
