BACOLOD City – Eleven individuals were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay IIihan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Jim Talanas, 63; Danny Ortega, 50; Eugene Ecarnacion, 26; Jerry Stopa, 56; Armando Temlor, 55; Romeo Quillano, 59; John Miller Decena, 24; John Canoy, 43; Arnel Maling, 39; Ruel Roca, 53, and Mely Galgo, 55, police said.
Four gaming fowls and P5,790 bet money were recovered from the suspects on Feb. 12.
The Criminal Investigation Detection Group-Bacolod took the suspects in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
