
CAPIZ – The Capiz provincial government extended financial assistance to 12 families displaced in a demolition carried out in Barangay Hanglid, President Roxas town on February 3.
Gov. Fredenil Castro led the turnover of P10,000 in cash assistance to a representative of each affected family at the provincial capitol on Friday, February 14.
Also present was Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) acting officer Joren Tan.
“Nahibaluan niya [Castro] ang kabudlay nga gina-atubang kag ginabatyag subong sang amo nga mga katawhan, apang nagapasalamat siya nga nahatagan siya sang kahigayunan nga igadawo ang amo nga bulig pinansyal sa mga nagakinahanglan,” read part of the provincial government’s statement.
The beneficiaries, meanwhile, said they will use the money to buy roofing and other materials to build their houses at a relocation site./PN
