BACOLOD City – Due to a maintenance schedule today (Nov. 13) by the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP), some franchise areas in this city and in Silay City, Negros Occidental will experience a 12-hour power interruption.
NGCP will shut down the Bacolod-Silay 69kV (kilovolt) transmission affecting the Central Negros Electric Cooperative’s (Ceneco) Burgos, Mountain View, Talisay, Panaogao, and Silay substations.
The power interruption will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Ceneco acting general manager Danny Pondevilla assured that normal operations would resume after the completion of the maintenance activities.
Pondevilla advised consumers to turn off their electrical switches.
