120 CAPSU students gird for Japan internship

CAPIZ – A total of 120 students of Capiz State University (CAPSU) will fly to Japan for their internship.

Just recently, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the on-the-job-training of the students was inked between CAPSU and Japan Hospitality Learning Center Association (JHLCA).

No less than JHLCA chief executive officer (CEO) Kazutaka Nakao flew to Capiz for the MOU signing.

Under the MOU, 40 agriculture students, 40 hotel and restaurant management students and 40 civil engineering students will be sent to Japan. These students are from the different campuses of CAPSU, such as in Pontevedra, Burias, Pilar, Tapaz, Sigma, and Roxas City.

Also, they will soon undergo a month-long training on the Nihongo language.

All domestic and international plane tickets, insurance in Japan, food and accommodation will be shouldered by JHLCA.

Meanwhile, the JHLA CEO, accompanied by officials of CAPSU headed by its president, Dr. Editha C. Alfon, had a courtesy call to Capiz governor Fredenil Castro and Roxas City mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

“Kahigayunan ini para sa ila nga makapaidalum sa maayo nga training sa luwas sang pungsod nga sarang nila magamit sa tion nga makatapos na sila sa pag-eskwela sa nasambit nga mga kurso,” said Dadivas.

Castro expressed full support for the program and for the needs of the students while processing their requirements./PN
