13 unvaxxed teaching staff denied entry into NOHS

BACOLOD City – Thirteen teaching staff of the Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) here were denied entry into the learning facility.

They were yet to be vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Principal Josette Terrora said the Department of Education (DepEd) has ordered that all teaching staff reporting on-site must be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19.

DepEd cited the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 148-B which requires all personnel doing onsite work to be fully-vaccinated, while those who refuse to get the vaccine must regularly take an RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) test at their own expense, and submit a negative result

DepEd Division of Negros Occidental Information Officer Ian Arnold Arnaez appealed to all concerned groups and the public to “stop fanning the flames” and put an end to the issue./PN
