ILOILO City – Thirteen policewomen from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) were given honors on Monday, March 6, in line with the Women’s Month celebration.

Efficiency Medals (Medalya ng Kasanayan) were given to:

* Colonel Rhea Santos, chief of the Regional Logistics and Research Development Division

* Colonel Leah Rose Peña, chief of the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division

* Captain Micah Andrea Sibayan of New Washington Police Station, Aklan

* Staff Sergeant Mardi Car Reyes, New Washington Police Station

* Lieutenant Anne Contreras of Madalag Police Station, Aklan

* Staff Sergeant Darilyn Teodoro of Patnongon Police Station, Antique

* Staff Sergeant Marie Jorrena Dela Cruz of Pilar Police Station, Capiz

* Staff Sergeant Catherine Deslate of Nueva Valencia Police Station, Guimaras

* Captain Maven Laraño, chief of Iloilo City Police Station 1

* Staff Sergeant Mary Grace Villanueva, Jaro Police Station

* Police Master Sergeant Stephanie Lorque of Pavia Police Station

* Staff Sergeant Marlou Alositain of La Carlota City Police Station, Negros Occidental

* Rosanna Tupaz, chief of non-uniformed personnel

Captain Jolly Canindo of the PRO-6 Women and Children Protection Desk received a commendation medal.

The regional police’s Women’s Month celebration kicked off with the theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.”

PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, said these policewomen were recognized for their significant contributions and good service.

Dapat natin pahalagahan ang mga kababaihan kasi malaki ang contribution nila sa ating organization,” Francisco said.

The PRO-6 has a total of 2,410 policewomen, of whom 97 were Police Commissioned Officers and 2,313 were Police Non-Commissioned Officers./PN
