BACOLOD City – The 11th Negros Island Organic Farmers Festival (NIOFF) from Nov. 15 to 19 at the Negros First Cyber Centre here will be participated by 150 exhibitors.
These exhibitors are producers, processors, farm owners and exporters.
The province of Negros Occidental will host this year’s five-day celebration with the theme, “Getting Connected through Regenerative Organic Agriculture.”
The theme focuses on basic farming practices, of reviving the natural composition of the land and of recharging physically through the consumption of organic produce.
Organic products and by-products, as well as sustainable innovations and technologies practiced by different farmer-producers and advocates will be showcased.
Live organic animals will also be featured.
There will be symposiums discussing various topics. International and local speakers have been invited. Among the tops are:
* global opportunities in organic agriculture
* agri-tourism
* role of AEW in agri-tourism
* edible landscaping
* organic food processing
* natural growing
* biological system
* maximizing fruit crop yield with bee pollination
* role of women and youth in organic agriculture; and
