ILOILO – The National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) recommended that 16 towns here be placed under pandemic Alert Level 1.
They met the amended guidelines for Alert Level 1 classification, it explained. .
Here are the guidelines:
* at least 70 percent of the target population have been fully vaccinated
* at least 70 percent of the target senior citizens population have been fully vaccinated
* the city or town must belong to a region or province with low-risk (less than 50 percent) total bed utilization rate
Under Alert Level 1, there are no restrictions in terms of indoor and outdoor capacities. Everyone can undertake intrazonal and interzonal travel without regard to age and even comorbidities.
All establishments, persons, or activities are likewise allowed to operate, work, or be undertaken at total on-site or venue seating capacity, provided these are consistent with minimum public health standards.
Meanwhile, face-to-face classes for primary education shall be subject to prior approval of the Office of the President.
The towns recommended for Alert Level 1 classification are the following:
* Zarraga – 19,744 fully vaccinated individuals or 89.38 percent of its target population; 2,419 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 89.92 percent of its target population for A2
* Balasan – 25,264 fully vaccinated individuals or 88.50 percent of its target population; 2,726 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 78.45 percent of its target population for A2
* Lemery – 22,218 fully vaccinated individuals or 83.48 percent of its target population; 2,654 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 81.99 percent of its target population for A2
* Bingawan – 10,818 fully vaccinated individuals or 82.50 percent of its target population; 1,563 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 98.07 percent of its target population for A2
* Batad – 14,718 fully vaccinated individuals or 82.50 percent of its target population; 1,821 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 81.55 percent of its target population
* Barotac Viejo – 29,087 fully vaccinated individuals or 79.17 percent of its target population; 3,689 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 76.75 percent of its target population.
* Concepcion – 29,087 fully vaccinated individuals or 78.13 percent of its target population; 3,179 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 70.14 percent of its target population for A2
* Banate – 21,510 fully vaccinated individuals or 76.64 percent of its target population; 2,630 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 77.01 percent of its target population for A2
* Guimbal – 21,796 fully vaccinated individuals or 74.71 percent of its target population; 3,502 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 98.49 percent of its target population for A2
* Mina – 15,055 fully vaccinated individuals or 74.11 percent of its target population; 2,184 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 88. 36 percent of its target population for A2
* Barotac Nuevo – 34,519 fully vaccinated individuals or 73.90 percent of its target population; 4,502 fully vaccinated senior seniors or 79.19 percent of its target population for A2
* Dueñas – 21,587 fully vaccinated individuals or 73.07 percent of its target population; 3,182 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 88.48 percent of its target population for A2
* Santa Barbara – 37,320 fully vaccinated individuals or 71.84 percent of its target population; 4,962 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 78.52 percent of its target population for A2
* Pototan – 46,163 fully vaccinated individuals or 71.84 percent of its target population; 7,283 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 92.43 percent of its target population.
* Anilao – 17,564 fully vaccinated individuals or 70.97 percent of its target population; 2,203 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 73.15 percent of its target population for A2
* San Dionisio – 23,725 fully vaccinated individuals or 70.92 percent of its target population; 3,005 fully vaccinated senior citizens or 73.77 percent of its target population.
As for Iloilo province as a whole, Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) head, said as of March 26, 1,131,934 persons (or 67.76 percent of the 1,670, 578 total target population) have been fully vaccinated. Also, 150,272 individuals or 73.92 percent of the target senior citizens are now fully vaccinated./PN
