18 years of hiding end for frustrated murder suspect

ILOILO City – Eighteen years after he was charged, a frustrated murder suspect was arrested in Miagao, Iloilo on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old Edgar Rosete of Barangay Cadluman, San Joaquin town was accused of committing the crime in Pangasinan.

Judge Ma. Ellen Aguilar of the Regional Trial Court Branch 70 in Pangasinan issued a warrant of arrest against him on March 20, 2000.

Rosete hid in Miagao upon learning about this, police said.

Officers served Rosete the warrant at 9:20 a.m. in Barangay Oyungan, Miagao.

Rosete was detained at the custodial facility of the San Joaquin police station.

The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
