GUIMARAS – As of Aug. 28, 18,567 Guimarasnons were already fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Of these, 6,141 residents got the single-dose Janssen vaccine while 12,426 completed their two-dose vaccine shots (either Sinovac, AstraZeneca or Moderna).
Meanwhile, 19,944 were waiting to receive their second doses to become fully vaccinated.
The vaccinated people were healthcare workers, senior citizens, adults with comorbidities, uniformed personnel, and the indigent.
Provincial government shared a breakdown of the COVID-19 vaccine doses administered:
* Sinovac – 24,168 doses
* AstraZeneca – 7,940 doses
* Janssen – 6,141 doses
* Moderna – 262 doses
