A TOTAL of 19 teams in the boys and girls divisions will spice up the 8th Summer Volleyball League Inter-High School Open Season 2 from April 14 to 17 in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
WVRAA and WVPRISAA champion Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts will use its secondary girls volleyball team when it banners the nine-team field in the girls division.
Also in distaff side are Talisay Gwapa, Living Stone International School, Colegio de San Agustin B, Pontevedra, St. Johnâs Institute, Trinity Christian School, University of St. La Saland, and Himamaylan City.
The four-day event intends to look for quality and competitive volleyball players in Negros Occidental and provide young athletes an avenue to showcase their skills and talents.
âWe expect a lot of scouts to be here to look for potential players who can play in bigger and stronger competitions,â said tournament director Melanie Grace Segovia.
Meanwhile competing in the boysâ division are Living Stone International School, Aklan Catholic College, Colegio San Agustin Bacolod, La Carlota City, Iloilo City High School, Sipalay City, Don Bosco Victorias City, Colegio de Santa Ana Victorias, and Himamaylan City.
The lone team outside of Western Visayas is Foundation Preparatory Academy of Dumaguete City, in the boys division./PN
