IT IS A REALITY that Capiz’s Gov. Fredenil H. Castro never runs out of brilliant ideas to make the already exciting tourism industry of his province even more so.
This Yuletide Season the whole province of Capiz transforms into one huge Christmas Village setting a benchmark for this happy occasion.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you read me right! A Christmas Village that occupies not only a street, a barangay, or a town. It is a Christmas Village that covers the whole province of Capiz with light, sound, live events and many more.
From end to end, the Christmas Village occupies the area from the boundaries of Capiz and Iloilo, Capiz and Aklan, and Capiz and Antique.
The province -wide Christmas Village and celebration is known as “Paskwa sa Maragtas”. It features old Christmas practices and celebrations happily blending with contemporary flavors.
Heading the private sector partner of the provincial government of Capiz is Bob Ong of the Pueblo de Panay group of companies strongly supported by other successful business groups of Capiz.
Punctuating the month-long Christmas celebration is the 1st Capiz Grand Shopping and Travel Sale on December 26-31, 2023, a fitting year-ender in itself!/PN
