SAN JOSE, Antique – The Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) here recently conducted a medical and dental information caravan in the towns of San Remigio and Valderrama, Antique.
Gifts including slippers, school supplies, and other food items were given to children during the caravan with adults receiving clothes, food packs and mosquito nets in Barangay Osorio 1, San Remigio and Barangay Pandanan in Valderrama, according to the PTF-ELCAC.
The barangay folks of the two municipalities were recipients of free medical consultations, tooth extraction, circumcision, distribution of fruit trees, vegetable seeds, and free haircut.
“The services we delivered to the barangays brought smiles and happiness because the people felt the government’s sincerity and concern to help address their situation,” said Margie Gadian, head of the Peace and Order and Public Safety Office.
Gov. Rhodora Cadiao and Lieutenant Colonel Joel Benedict Batara, battalion commander of the 61st Infantry Battalion, 3ID, the Philippine Army, and the Peace and Order and Public Safety Office led the caravan with the different national and provincial government agencies.
The PTF-ELCAC was created through Executive Order 119, issued by Gov. Cadiao to ensure the inter-agency convergence in the implementation of the Whole of Nation Approach framework in the conflict-affected and vulnerable areas of the province.(With PIA-Antique/PN)
