PANAY, Capiz – Two brothers who were charged for the death of a church altar boy in February this year in Barangay Anhawon were arrested over the weekend.
Hargie Balasa Azares was 32 years old while Jerry Balasa Azares was 28. They were served with an arrest warrant by policemen.
The court recommended a bail bond of P120,000 for their temporary release.
The altar boy was 20-year-old Joey Dumangon. From what the police gathered, he joined a drinking binge and fell asleep.
When someone woke Dumangon up, he allegedly got startled and made a scene. He got mauled but managed to flee.
The next day, he was found dead in a creek. Autopsy found a blood clot in his head. He also had injuries in different parts of his body./PN
