ILOILO City – A drug sting operation in Barangay Jardin, Dumangas, Iloilo led to the recovery of suspected shabu worth P300,600. Two brothers and a nephew were caught.
According to a police report, around 4:05 p.m. on Saturday, brothers Joesan Docdocil and Clar John Hechanova (adopted) and 17-year-old “Ken” sold to a poseur buyer one large sachet of the illicit substance for P12,000.
Ten more sachets were recovered, police said.
The suspects were taken to the Dumangas police station. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed against them.
According to Police Major Joven Arevalo, police chief of Dumangas, Docdocil was as a “high-value” drug suspect.
He was previously convicted for a drug offense and detained in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Dumangas for over a year, according to Arevalo.
Docdocil was released early this year after availing himself a plea bargaining agreement.
He admitted to selling illegal drugs after his release from prison and claimed his supplier was from Iloilo./PN
