ILOILO City – Two people were detained at the police station in Sibunag, Guimaras. One of them possessed an unlicensed firearm.
Joven Roquero, 48, and Jose Gange, 56, were accused of disobeying officers after trying to evade a checkpoint in Barangay Alegria, a police report showed.
Roquero, a resident of Zone 3, Barangay Tabao, Valladolid, Negros Occidental, also yielded a .38 revolver, police said.
Both were on board a motorcycle when the police flagged them down. Officers chased them when they turned around.
Roquero and Gange, a resident of Barangay Alegria, Sibunag, were taken to the municipal police station after their arrest at around 8:31 p.m. on Saturday./PN
