ILOILO – Fourth District’s Cong. Ferjenel Biron dismissed as “tanan binutig” (all lies) the allegations hurled against him by two police officers in a police blotter.

Police Captain Charlie Sustento Jr. and Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pinuela – both currently assigned at the Police Regional Office 6 headquarters – complained to the Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 1 on April 3 that Biron was plotting to implicate the two of them in supposed attempts to hurt the congressman.

“I am extremely busy attending to the affairs of the 4thDdistrict and our family businesses to even think about Sustento and Pinuela,” Biron told Panay News.

Sustento and Pinuela claimed that a “confidential agent” tipped them off of the congressman’s supposed plan.

This was not the first time the two cops called out Biron. A few months back, Sustento and Pinuela blamed the congressman for their legal woes that nearly cost them their careers as members of the Philippine National Police.

“Tanan binutig. I don’t have time to dwell on this. My legal team will [attend to the matter] in due time,” Biron said yesterday when asked by Panay News if he was considering filing charges against the two policemen for their latest allegation.

According to Sustento, “A week before sang pagpa-blotter namon, gin-validate ini namon kag not only isa ini, pila ‘ni ka informants namon. May threat assessment siya. May nag-leak nga information nga kami kuno nag-threaten sa iya. Ginapa-validate niya ini sa PNP.”

Sustento said they have no plan to do anything unlawful against the congressman.

“Ang naka-alarm sa amon nga ma-obra siya ‘ya scenario nga matudlo sa amon as perpetrators sa isa ka krimen against sa iya. That is not good,” said Sustento.

He and Pinuela are now living in peace, Sustento stressed.

“Nagapatawhay na kami di’ ya. Siya man lang nagapang-harass sa amon…mapa-obra siya threat assessment nga may threat kuno siya kag kabataan niya,” said Sustento.

For his part, Biron said his team of lawyers will address this matter./PN
