2 dead, 1 hurt in motorcycle collision

ANTIQUE – Two drivers were dead while a backrider was injured following a motorcycle collision in Barangay Carit-an, Patnongon town.

Police identified the fatalities as Kimbert Mandeoya, 25, and resident of the town’s Barangay Gella and Fritz Gerald Nadales of Barangay Carit-an.

They both succumbed to fatal head injuries.

Joshua Talidong, 27, of Barangay Samalague, and Maneoya’s backrider, also sustained a head injury. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Police Captain Ryan Valenzuela, officer-in-charge of Patnongon Municipal Police Station, said the accident took place around 12:12 a.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Both motorcycles were running in opposite directions. Nadales was inebriated when he accidentally collided with Mandeoya and Talidong’s motorcycle, Valenzuela said.
