ILOILO – A bank employee and a motorist died. An Elf truck hit them early morning on Friday in Barangay Tagbac Sur, Oton town
Peal Ann Silva 39, of Barangay Tagbac Sur died of severe head and body injuries at the Western Visayas Medical Center.
The other casualty was 60-year-old Johnny Centra of Barangay Poblacion South, Oton.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Johannes Sorongon of the Oton police station, the incident happened at around 5:16 a.m.
Silva was walking along the road. The truck driven by Juden Maso, 40, of Barangay Daja, Maasin, Iloilo hit her.
Maso also hit the motorcycle-driving Centra.
“Suno sa driver wala nya nakita si Silva kay may nasumalang sia nga motorcycle nga masilaw ang suga,” said Sorongon.
Maso was taken to the Oton police station.
He faces a charge for reckless imprudence resulting to double homicide./PN
