BACOLOD City – Two men were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Victorias City police head Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz identified the men as the 40-year-old Rio “Tam-tam” Palmes of Barangay 21 and 37-year-old Manuel Sarito Jr. of Barangay 13.
Palmes and Sarito were caught at St. Martin Subdivision around 8:20 p.m. on Monday after they allegedly sold shabu to an undercover agent.
Recovered from their possession were five sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P5,000, drug paraphernalia, a cellphone, and P1,200 cash, police said.
Palmes and Sarito were detained in the lockup cell of the Victorias City police station.
They were facing charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
