2 drug suspects nabbed, minor rescued

ILOILO City – Two drug suspects were arrested and one minor was rescued in two separate buy-bust operations in the districts of Molo and Lapuz in this city recently.

On Wednesday, around 10 p.m., Genesis Selerio, 26, was arrested by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Molo police in Zone 6, Barangay Boulevard.

Police operatives also rescued 16-year-old “Tian-Tian,” who allegedly served as Selerio’s runner.

“Ang mode of transaction niya depende sa parokyano. Kung kilala niya gina pakadto niya sa iya balay, kung indi, ang bata ang gina himo niya nga runner,” said Major Marlyn Roquero, officer-in-charge of the Molo police.

Nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu, weighing more or less 49 grams and with a standard drug price of P333,200, were recovered.

Meanwhile, around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Franz Edward Arias, 27, was arrested in Barangay Sinikway, Lapuz.

More or less 90 grams of suspected shabu were recovered with a standard drug price of P612,000.
