2 drug suspects yield P50-T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A sting operation led to the arrest of two suspected drug pushers along Malvar Street at Lopez Subdivision in Barangay 3, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspects as the 32-year-old resident Roberto “Bobby” Tamayo and 20-year-old Lea Mae Guarin of Barangay 1-A, Manapla, Negros Occidental.

Recovered from them were suspected shabu weighing about five grams valued at P50,000, a police report showed.

Tamayo and Guarin were arrested after they sold shabu to an undercover officer for P400 around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, the report further showed.

Three sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from Tamayo while from Guarin, one.

Police also confiscated Tamayo’s cellular phone, P500 cash and drug paraphernalia.

Tamayo and Guarin were detained at the Victorias City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
