ILOILO City – Mayor Jerry Treñas will have more hands to help his administration’s development thrusts. He appointed two former city councilors as his new executive assistants.
Mandrie Malabor and Jojo Javellana both sought reelection as city councilors in the 2022 elections but lost.
According to Treñas, Javellana, a former village chief, will assist his administration in various barangay-related programs and projects such as senior citizen centers, youth centers and libraries.
“So lantawon niya kon ano pa gid ang maobra ta para ma-improve ang ini nga mga areas,” said Treñas.
Malabor, on the other hand, will help the City Social Welfare and Development Office, especially in the delivery of social services and daycare center programs./PN
