BACOLOD City – Two men lost their lives falling into a deep well in Sitio Syding, Barangay Minapasuk, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Joemar Trencio, 32, and Roniel Amaro, 24, were both residents of the barangay.
They volunteered to clean the deep well on Saturday morning, April 15, according to local police.
While Trencio was going down the well, he slipped and fell. Amaro attempted to help Trencio but also plunged.
The deep well is about 20 feet deep, and residents of the area use the water from it for drinking and washing.
It took more than an hour before the bodies of the two victims were retrieved./PN
