ILOILO volleyball standouts Pearl An Denura and Chrisann Susbilla have taken their acts to Manila following their impressive runs while still at Central Philippine University Golden Lions.
The Dumangas, Iloilo native Denura has committed to move to the National University Lady Bulldogs where she will play as back up libero to Joni Anne Kamille Chavez and Jennifer Nierva.
“I am so happy and blessed to be given a chance to play in NU because it’s my dream to be able to play in Manila,” Denura said. “I will try to do everything to help this team in their goals and dreams in the UAAP.”
“Of course, I know that being recruited here at NU is not enough. I know that I still need to work hard and to always to pray to God since He can do everything possible,” she added.
Denura will also be the third Western Visayas-based player in the Norman Miguel-mentored Lady Bulldogs aside from Ilongga Princess Ann Robles and Bacolodnon Gelina Mae Luceno.
The Iloilo City native Susbilla, on the other hand, has decided to continue her senior high school at the University of the East Junior Warriors.
Susbilla has caught the eye of the Junior Warriors coaching staff after playing for the Bacolod Tay Tung High School squad that competed in the National PRISAA last month in Davao City./PN
