2 Jaro ‘pushers’ caught

ILOILO City – Two men were nabbed in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district, a police report showed.

They were 54-year-old Lindon Salvalosa and 33-year-old Roland Mendez, both residents of Barangay San Isidro, the report added.

Salvalosa and Mendez were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,100 around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police officers also recovered 11 more sachets of shabu from the suspects.

Salvalosa and Mendez were both drug surrenderees under the Philippine National Police’s “Oplan Tokhang” in 2016.

They were detained in the custodial facility of the Jaro police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
