ILOILO – A motorcycle collision resulted in two fatalities and one critical injury on Tuesday night in Tigbauan town.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. along the road in Barangay Barroc.
The victims, identified by Police Master Sergeant Amy Gerline Acebedo of the Tigbauan municipal police station, included Henry Hebra of Barangay Binaliuan Mayor, Tigbauan and rider of a Kawasaki motorcycle.
The second deceased, a driver of a Honda TMX, was Rodolfo Gayagas, 39, of Guimbal town.
Both riders sustained multiple injuries.
Meanwhile, the passenger of the Honda TMX, Kenny John Sermite, 30, sustained a fractured leg and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Initial investigation suggested that the collision was caused by high speeds and risky overtaking maneuvers.
The Kawasaki was heading towards Tigbauan, while the Honda was en route to Iloilo City when the accident occurred.
