BACOLOD City – Two persons died in a vehicular accident in Purok Amoravieta, Barangay Antipolo, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental yesterday.
Forty-three-year-old Rene Montaño (motorcycle driver) and 35-year-old Omar Domingo (back rider) were both residents of the town’s Barangay Buenavista Rizal.
Traveling westward, their vehicle suddenly swerved into the opposite lane, investigation of the Pontevedra police station showed.
A Fuso truck driven by Leomar Alvarez, 21, of Barangay Malingin, Bago City, Negros Occidental hit the motorcycle, police said.
Alvarez is now in the custody of the police station, facing charges./PN
