ILOILO – Two men were shot in Barangay Jibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo on Monday night.
Pavia police identified one victim as Michael Quizon, 31, of Barangay Ticud, La Paz, Iloilo City while the other remained unidentified.
They were both rushed to a hospital in the city and in critical condition, police said.
Police Major Rolando Araño, Pavia municipal police chief, in a radio interview, said the victims were riding a motorcycle when shot by the lone gunman who was also riding a motorcycle.
Based on initial police investigation, residents heard a series of gunshots.
Recovered from the victims’ belongings were three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, Araño added.
As of this writing, the Pavia police and Scene of the Crime Operatives are still investigating the incident./PN
